Film Released for Initial Previewing: December 10, 2022

Director: Mr. Aaron Spells / Spellz Production Company-Atlanta, GA

UPM-Unit Production Manager: Dr. Pazanta Byars, Ed.D

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Spells on projects such as music videos, Contract review & editing, and various administrative jobs.  I gained much respect for this young and ambitious director whose work speaks for itself.

This director is honest and straightforward with those whom he works with in the film industry. He demands excellence from those whom he engages with. When he asked me to work with his upcoming film as his Unit Production Manager, I was honored!

MOVIE TRAILER

He also needed a young male child to play the role of Ace as the young child….and of course I volunteered my grandson, Elijah Byars. I remember the day my grandchild came onto the set for rehearsals, I broke out in tears because I was so proud of Elijah.  Everyone loved working with him…he followed directions beautifully and remembered his lines!

This movie also has such celebrated actors such as Jason Louder who has starred in films such as Black Lightening; Wu-Tang: An American Saga; Obamaland Pt. 1; Cinnamon; They Cloned Tyrone; Odyssey: A Star Wars Story; and BMF: Black Mafia Family….just to name a few.  Dakarai Akil also starred in this movie who has acted in movies such as: SZN the movie; The Dirty 3rd; The Ring Widow; 3000 Letters; and Candy 2 to name a few. Zuberi Morrison also directed this movie alongside Mr. Spells and the chemistry was amazing.

National Black Film Festival (P.I.G.S. Review)

I must mention the cast and crew who made this movie the success that it was:  Cory Banks, Joey Thurmond, Theo Haddon, Stacee Nino, Anthony R. Page, Angel L. Henderson, Johnny Green Jr., Erion Browner, Elijah Byars, Ethan Paul, John M. Johnson, Coach Wes Lee, Marcus E. Munroe, Aaron Spells, Kelcey Seth, and Martin Aramayo. We had a great time on-set and by the time the film was a ‘Wrap,’ we were like one big family!  And I must mention Mr. Spells Queen, his angel, his beautiful lady, Abstract C.I.M., who is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside…and she is an awesome Poetess. She opened the premier of the movie with Spoken Word…you have to check her out on YouTube.

This film is amazing and addresses many familiar social and political issues that we witness in our current society.

This film also addresses an unexpected way of handling injustices that are portrayed in the film. Perpetrators in Government Systems is the brainchild of Mr. Aaron Spells and was written and directed by Mr. Spells; he also hand-picked the entire exceptional cast and crew who brought his story to life. Mr. Spells also chose his team of co-writers who peer-reviewed and contributed to the development of the characters and themes…they were: Marlon DeWayne Carter and Akilah Nehanda. Our business relationship has grown into Commercial Vending partners and respected friends, and I am proud to say that if my authors need media film, graphics, or live commercials advertising their books, Mr. Spells will ensure that their book will have outstanding media exposure and global representation.

I know that attendees of this movie can feel the deeper meanings of this movie. So, when Mr. Spells called me excited that the film was becoming recognized and nominated for various awards, I wasn’t surprised but was certainly very happy. Here are the nominations and awards of the film:

Like I said, his work speaks for itself, and it was an honor to work alongside this very talented and purpose driven director as his Unit Production Manager.  Yes, it was months of hard work, but we remained focused on our goals of completion and stayed on track and within budget!  This movie definitely tested my Project, Program, and Portfolio Management skills…but with our focus and tenacious work ethics…our film was a success!

Thank you, Mr. Aaron Spells for this opportunity and I know we have more stories for film to enlighten the world.
